Six main classification characteristics of three-roller plate rolling machine

Three-roller plate rolling machine is a general-purpose equipment that bends metal plates through three rollers. It is mainly used to manufacture cylindrical, arc-shaped or conical workpieces.
 
The three-roller plate rolling machine drives the gear reducer through the motor to make the lower roller rotate synchronously to generate torque, and the upper roller rises or tilts to achieve uniform bending of the plate. It is suitable for rolling metal plates such as stainless steel and carbon steel.

There are many types of three-roller plate rolling machines, which can be divided into seven types of plate rolling machines: inclined downward adjustment type, vertical downward adjustment type, horizontal downward adjustment type, arc downward adjustment type, symmetrical type, asymmetrical type, and upper roller universal type.
 
Symmetrical three-roller plate rolling machine
 
Structural features: The three rollers of the plate rolling machine are distributed in a "pin" shape. The upper roller can be lifted and lowered vertically, and the two lower rollers are fixed and rotated, which are the main driving rollers. The upper roller makes vertical lifting and lowering movements at the symmetrical position of the center of the two lower rollers, and is driven by a screw/worm; the two lower rollers are driven by rotation to provide torque.
 
Applicable scenarios: Suitable for workpieces with high straightness requirements such as extra-long tanks and pipes.
 
Advantages and disadvantages: Simple structure, low cost, and wide application range. However, the disadvantage is that there is no pre-bending function. After the rounding is completed, the remaining straight edge is large (usually 6-20 times the thickness of the plate), and additional edge pressing equipment needs to be purchased.
 
Asymmetric three-roller plate rolling machine
  • Structural features: The upper roller of the plate rolling machine is biased towards the lower roller on one side. The roller on this side can be lifted vertically, and the roller on the other side can be lifted and lowered tilted, supporting two-way pre-bending. The asymmetric three-roller plate rolling machine has the function of unilateral pre-bending. If both sides of the plate need to be pre-bent, it needs to turn around. This plate rolling machine is suitable for medium and thin plates.
  • Applicable scenarios: Medium and thin plate processing, especially suitable for workpieces that require unilateral pre-bending.
  • Advantages and disadvantages: Flexible operation and convenient maintenance, but the plate angle needs to be adjusted.
 
Vertical down-adjustable three-roller plate rolling machine
 
  • Structural features: The upper roller of the plate rolling machine is fixed, and the lower roller can be lifted and lowered vertically in both directions; it supports two-way pre-bending, reduces processing time, and is suitable for medium and thin plates. Pre-bending and rolling only require one feeding, which can save time for processing plates.
  • Applicable scenarios: Medium and thin to thick plates, suitable for efficient batch production.
Horizontal down-adjustable three-roller plate rolling machine
  • Structural features: The upper roller of the plate rolling machine can be lifted and lowered vertically, and the lower roller moves horizontally, which can perform two-way pre-bending.
  • Applicable scenarios: Suitable for rolling plates of various thicknesses. Suitable for rolling medium and thick plates.
 
Arc down-adjustable three-roller plate rolling machine
 
  • Structural features: The upper roller of the plate rolling machine is fixed and rotated, and the two lower rollers are lifted and lowered in an arc around a fixed center, which can perform two-way pre-bending.
  • Applicable scenarios: Suitable for rolling plates with a thickness of less than 80mm, which is more conducive to the rolling of thick plates.
 
Upper roller universal three-roller plate rolling machine
  • Structural features: The upper roller universal three-roller plate rolling machine is also called the upper roller cross-moving plate rolling machine, because the upper roller of the plate rolling machine can move both vertically and horizontally.
  • Applicable scenarios: It can perform bidirectional pre-bending and is suitable for plates with a thickness of 80-100mm.
